Bruins Win - The SportsFan Buzz (6/16/2011).....

The Boston Bruins captured their first Stanley Cup since 1972 with a 4-0 win over the Vancouver Canucks. While Tim Thomas was outstanding and will get much deserved praise, Roberto Luongo will be facing many questions about his "playing small" when it was on the line. In the end in was a great hockey playoff, which hopefully will bring a few new fans to the sport.

Game 7: Nothing Better - The SportsFan Buzz (6/14/2011).....

The Boston Bruins forced a Game 7 in these Stanley Cup Finals, where the first six games have been won by the home team in completely different fashion. Will the pattern continue for Game 7 in Vancouver? Will Roberto Luongo again bounce back after the debacle in Boston or do the Bruins break through and win on Vancouver's home ice? Also, did I really hear someone suggest that Miami should consider breaking up this Heat team?

Mavericks Win - The SportsFan Buzz (6/13/2011).....

The Dallas Mavericks are the new NBA Champions and showed everyone that they were not the same old Mavericks from prior playoff disappointments. While most are saying the Heat lost, I want to give props to the Mavericks for their well deserved victory. Also, tonight is Game 6 in Boston for this Jeckyl and Hyde Stanley Cup Final.

Great Finals - The SportsFan Buzz (6/9/2011).....

The NBA and NHL Finals are going on concurrently and right now we both series are tied at 2 games each. What a great time to be a sports fan as these two championships play out over the next week. A quick look at both Finals and who has the advantage as we are now down to a "best of three" for each championship.

Maverick Comeback - The SportsFan Buzz (6/3/2011).....

I'll admit to thinking the NBA Finals were probably over when Miami had a 15 point lead, but this Dallas team again showed heart we have not seen in prior playoffs. Now we have a series heading back to Dallas for the next three games. Plus the first game of the Stanley Cup finals was great, but a bite highlighted the coverage.

A "Buckeye" for Ohio St. - The SportsFan Buzz (5/31/2011).....

So Coach Jim Tressel is out at Ohio State and not as much for what his players did, but for his cover-up of the initial incident and false statements that came since "Tattoo Gate" became public. Now comes word that Terrelle Pryor will also leave the school. What a mess that didn't have to be. Plus the NBA Finals start tonight and the NHL Finals kick off tomorrow night.

Talking Baseball - The SFB (6/17/2010).....

Paul Lebowitz joins the podcast to talk about what is going on around the Major Leagues. We still have the Rays playing well, a crazy NL East, and unbelievable pitching still dominating the year. We'll discuss the teams and the events of the past couple of weeks, including the Stephen Strasburg debut and the chant for more replay in baseball. Enjoy.

Almost Perfect - The SFB Podcast (6/3/2010).....

Armando Galarraga was perfect, but in the end he technically wasn't, as umpire Jim Joyce called Jason Donald safe, thus denying Galarraga the 21st perfect game in MLB history and setting off a firestorm of "baseball needs replay" chants from all corners of the sports universe. Also, many are calling for Commissioner Bud Selig to overturn the original safe call. Talk about over-reaction. I'll look at this, preview the Celtics / Lakers NBA Finals and look at the Blackhawks / Flyers series. Enjoy.
